FUNDRAISING
For anyone who has been looking for charities and fundraisers to donate to in order to support #AfricansInUkraine, we are gathering resources found so far and listing them on this page.
OMEK
When the Russo-Ukrainian war broke out, a collective of organizations and individuals (including Black Ladies Talk Arbeid , Sonaaar, Omek, Fairuz Sewbaks) around Europe and at the border came together to support the Afro students who were stuck at the border or fleeing from the war.
After collecting supply donations, they now need to transport all these donations to the people who urgently need them at the border.
They need help to raise 10,000 Euro to help with the transportation costs (i.e., rental, fuel, food, and lodging for those traveling to the border, etc...)

SUPPORT BLACK AND BROWN PEOPLE FLEEING WAR IN UKRAINE
Coalition of six organizations, based in Poland and created by people of African descent, Black and Brown and queer people, and their allies. The fundraiser is being administered by the Foundation for Social Diversity (FSD), an organization founded in 2007 which has extensive experience with managing large projects funded by the EU and other international organizations.
OMEK CURATED RESOURCE LIST
For Afro Students & BIPOC
Unfortunately, even in these times there have been reports of people being treated differently because of their origin. As a community-focused group, Omek has decided to do what it can to support groups and people trying to help our brothers and sisters who have been overwhelmed, and do not have as much support or resources.
